The Royal Grammar School Guildford Muscat (RGSGM) currently offers the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum, designed for students in Grades 6–8 (Years 7–9 in the British system). This internationally recognised programme builds strong academic foundations, promotes independent learning, and develops key skills in critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Our Lower Secondary curriculum is broad and balanced, ensuring that students experience a wide range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Languages, and the Arts. As students progress into Grade 9, their journey toward the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) begins. This marks an exciting new stage in their academic development, where we will carefully tailor each student’s pathway according to their individual strengths, interests, and future aspirations.

The IGCSE programme provides a rigorous and internationally recognised qualification that equips students with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Students will study a combination of core subjects—such as English Language, Mathematics, and the Sciences—alongside a range of elective options that reflect their emerging passions.
